"Changing Jackets" feedback
Sounds like "Changing Jackets" was a hit on DNTO. Sara Tate, my CBC producer, says, "Quite a few listeners wrote in asking when they could hear it again!" Here's a sample of what they said.
"Just wanted to tell you that I really enjoyed the hour of literary-based music — great idea and well done.
As an English literature professor at a Quebec CEGEP (college) last winter, I taught Tennyson's "The Lady of Shalott" and then played the whole Loreena McKennitt song, and my students really loved the song (and the poem more because of it). It was interesting to see 18 year old guys begging to hear that song again — really!"

"I just listened to your spot on literature and music. Being the son of two librarians I found it fascinating. Although I was aware of some of the examples used I was pleasantly surprised by others. I'd like to add to the list of artists who use Edgar Allen Poe as an inspiration. MC Lars recorded his own rap version of The Raven. They call it 'Mr. Raven'. It's not profound or anything, but it is entertaining."
